The two lakes are off limits September 29th- October 2nd

Yes, we will hold the meeting at 6:15 am on day 1, but as usual for me they are short and to the point. I will request 1 from every team be present.
Yes, as all boats are subject to live well checks in person on both days to be allowed to fish.
Feel free to launch where you would like, just be safe on the dark travels across the lakes.
We have decided with costs and scheduling it will be easier to have the classic closer to home.
The dates will stay the same of October 5th and 6th but the location will move back to Muskegon lake and The Grand river. Sorry if it is any inconvenience but we still look forward to a great time.
Shoreline will be opening registrations for all teams who fished 2023 Shoreline weekend series. We will also be excepting and reviewing 2024 membership requests to fish the 2024 season effective January 1st 2024. Please keep in mind this is a closed circuit and a prepay ONLY. There will be NO entries excepted at the start of any event. Shoreline will be capped at 40 paid entries for the 2024 seasons.
Any team wishing to fish the 2023 season who did not fish last year will have a waiting list. First in basis to gain the open spots. Fill out the membership and send a check to the address for review and a possible position held. Should you not gain a spot by review or the circuit fills your check will be destroyed and you will be notified.
If you fished 2023 and would like to fish 2024 you have until 4/1/24 to send in your memberships and entry fee's for a guaranteed spot. If we receive your entry after that date dates after that will be added in along with the new requests but not guaranteed.
Refunds will be available until 5/1/24 should one be required. Any member or team determined to be removed during the season for unsportsman like conduct will forfeit their entry fee and memberships as well and be removed from the rest of the season. Examples would be fighting or derogatory remarks on social media or at the Shoreline events.
Early draw will be 5/12/24. All registered boats will be randomly drawn for all the years events with the classic excluded.
The Memberships for the weeknights and weekend are separate. Each circuit keeps the entry fee's for it own events and anglers. Opens have no membership fee.
With 2022 all in the books it’s time to look back at a couple things and make a small adjustment into the series.
Year 1 ( 2021 ) we had 45+ boats
Year 2 ( 2022 ) we had 38 boats.
For year 2023 I have stewed on the idea of a smaller closed circuit.
West Michigan Bass has a great larger boat circuit along with the duel D and R series. Generally those guys pull 60-90+ boats and are well suited and staffed for these larger events and do a great job year after year with their series.
I personally am happy being the little guy and have decided for 2023 we will be capping the circuit at 40 paid boats.
This gives the anglers more area to fish out smaller lakes, less stress on the fish from longer weigh in lines, a smooth 2 flight weigh-in and allows us to fish other bodies of water that simply can’t hold the bigger counts.
How I will approach 2023 on this topic-
Any boat who paid in 2022 has first dibs on a spot up to 4/1/2023 with registration opening January 1st 2023
After April 1st I will open the circuit up to all non 2022 Shoreline members on a first paid first secured basis and a reserve spots until May 6th.
After May 1st no refunds on paid entries. Those who want on a possible waiting list will need to mail a check to which I will not cash until you’re in or we are closed, at that point I’ll destroy the check if there’s no room.
Entry per boat with 2 anglers will be 850.00 for the standard 5 events for 2023.
A single angler 810.00
This includes memberships.
Shoreline is a closed circuit and I can refuse any membership request as I see fit for the club.
Thank you for a great 2022 and look forward to spring 2023.
Scott

We fish tournaments for fun, for the competition, it's our chance to hang out with all the anglers and get away from a touch of our daily reality. Getting out on a week night or weekend for a few hours is like the weekly gold league or bowling league for some, to us it is our water time, our chance to unwind, wash a few lures and try to beat the lake and maybe win a couple bucks to offset the costs of the sport we love.
For me it is all of the above and some time with my kid, for others a buddy, partner or even alone, it is time with the competition before and after, laughs, not so many laughs on occasion, how we lost the " big one " and how we got the big one.
Unfortunately on occasion life reminds us fishing is the true escape but life still finds it's way into our sport.
Last year we had one of our anglers lose his wife mid season, and this year we lost one of our own. Rodney Hirdes was a member of the fishing community for as long as I can remember along with his dad they ran a great circuit and were all around good guys.
For me to take on Shoreline last year with Morgan Rod was the first person to come up and shake my hand and offer his help and support. Rod also went out of his way to reach out to sponsors to make the trail the best our little trail could be.
He had generated over 1,000 in sponsors the last two years along with some give away items as well.
This week Thursday Rod lost his battle with cancer, and while our community gets a little darker from his light passing Morgan and myself will choose to remember and honor a dear friend of mine for what little time I had the chance to know him.
I have posted the below link to his families Go Fund Me page to help with all the costs that go with the pain of their loss as well.
Please lets help out the family and send them some help as Rod helped so many of out when he could.

Also any Macatawa Bank, or any cash donations are being collected by the Kempker family.
Rod, we miss ya and hope you will be there welcoming us when our time comes.
Your brothers and sisters from the fishing community.
We will have 2 cash options at each event.
1-
We will hold a raffle for any boat that would like to take a shot at boat 1 for that tournament.
10.00 one entry per boat.
2-
We do a side pot BIG BASS which has a 5 pound qualifier. Should no teams weigh in a 5 pounder the pot rolls over to the next event and ONLY those who entered the previous event can re-enter. Entry fee is 10.00 per team, in the case it rolls over each team must pay 10.00 again at the next tournament. Kind of the thought re-ante re-deal.
Cheers 🍻
EARLY DRAW-
Early draw will be held on April 24th at 8:00pm
At that time we will draw in random for each tournament individual boat numbers for the year.
To be a part of early draw you must be paid and registered by April 24th. No exceptions.
Any new memberships excepted after early draw will be that boat number for each tournament for the series.
Questions please reach out.
Membership registration requests will open 2/18 for 2021 members.
March 4th for new member requests.
We will also be at the GR show for those wanting to get applications in person at a couple of our sponsor booths.
There will be a few rules updated for review prior to registration opening so please stay tuned.
We’re excited to get this ball rolling!!
Cheers!

Happy New Year! With 2022 here now and the kick of of the sports show in Novi bass season doesn’t feel that far away…. Until you drive around for 30 seconds. We have been busy behind the scenes with the season approaching. We unofficially have 2 new sponsors coming in for this year and looking for additional sponsors as well. With excitement for the new sponsors it’s important for us to remember and support those who have been with us last year and years prior. I thank you for your continued support of Shore Line. We have some cash sponsors and some prize sponsors. We are looking for a couple sponsors for- A plaque sponsor for the weekly events AND a classic plaque sponsor. AOY sponsor. If anyone knows of a company of interest please reach out to me as it’s greatly appreciated. Some quick answers to questions and be been asked.
- Any entry fees or memberships going up? Nope
-Have you decided on a classic location… Kinda, I’ll have a couple locations reserved for pending boat count.
-Is it still prepay for the whole year? Yes, no cherry picking.
-Take off times ? Yes, we will be looking at a safe light scenario potentially. It was this way for years… then a set time placed for a few guys to get 10 minutes more sleep lol. I feel when it’s safe we go, BUT we won’t leave before 6:00am.
- Classic buy in? Yes, last year we generated around an additional 2,500.00 paid out to the members.
-Staff boats and a couple simple rules clarification coming as well.
-How many boats is the cap? 60
-Early draw? It’s a ways away yet, BUT we will have entry forms available probably sometime in February. As always returning members have first dibs against the count.
- Memberships This year will be a closed membership. Basically saying we have full rights to refuse membership applications to those who have been removed from Shoreline in the past or for past unsportsmanship conduct. Questions as always feel free to reach out to me anytime. Scott
