IMPORTANT RULES CHANGE FOR 2024
This year we have a Facebook Page Shoreline Bass, I am also going to be using STACK TEAM app for any announcements, team name is SBT HS/MS.
Each schools team representative must pre-register their anglers the
Tuesday prior to each tournament send to sbtyouth@gmail.com. There will be a 7pm cut off on that
Tuesday. There will no sign ups at the ramp!
Each school’s entry fees will need to be paid by ONE team representative. One
person from each club will pay one time at each tournament.
One time $25 membership fee per angler & liability waiver must be paid and
signed before competing.
$20 weekly entry fee per boat (100% payback)
There are 2 separate divisions, Middle School and High School.
We will have prizes for Anglers of the Year (AOY) in both divisions.
AOY points will be calculated starting with 100 dropping 5 for every place that weighs fish no fish no oints Ex:
No Substitutions this year
We will draw for takeoff numbers weekly, including the start boat, you can only
be the start boat once per season.
Take off at the classic will be assigned according to your finish in AOY points.
You must fish 2 of the 5 regular season events to qualify for the classic.
SAFETY
Safe boating must be always practiced. Each competitor is required to wear a
Coast Guard approved personal floatation device. A life preserver must be
properly worn (zipped, buckled, tied) anytime the combustion engine is Running.
Violation of the rule may be grounds for immediate disqualification. All boats
must be equipped with a WORKING KILL SWITCH, which must be attached to the
driver when the combustion engine is in gear.
BOAT AND MOTOR
Every boat must have all State and Coast Guard required equipment.
All boats must have properly aerated live well(s), with adequate space to
maintain a limit of fish. Only designated Tournament Officials will be allowed to
handle fish once the fish are turned over for the weigh-in. The final decision on
the "Live" status of the fish is at the discretion of the designated Tournament
Official. For each legal bass weighed in dead, the competitor shall be penalized 4
(four) ounces of weight (or 0.25 pounds depending on the scales used). 5 dead
fish will result in a forfeit of your weigh in for that tournament.
You may not weigh in a dead bass for big bass. In the event of a tie big bass will be
used as a tie breaker.
LEGAL FISH
Largemouth and Smallmouth bass minimum length of 14 inches in the longest
straight line, with the mouth closed. A flat, straight rule will be used to determine
the 14 inches length. All bass must be caught live and in a conventional sporting
manner. Anyone guilty of snatching or snagging visible fish will have their day’s
catch disqualified. When visually fishing for bedding bass, all bass must be hooked
inside the mouth.
SCORING
Tournament standings, auxiliary awards and the final winners shall be determined
by the weight of each team’s catch during the tournament. The limit shall be five
(5) of the above species and varieties per day per team.
Bass presented for weigh-in which fail to measure 14 inches shall accrue penalties
at a rate of one pound for each short bass as well as the loss of the short fish. The
penalty shall be deducted from the total weight of the team. Any bass that
appears to have been mangled, mashed, mauled, or otherwise altered will be
weighed only at the discretion of tournament officials. After a team checks in at
the official checkpoint, they MUST present the fish in their possession to a
tournament official to be counted, measured, and weighed.
